Review of Pacific Coast Feather Ashburn Down Comforter

Pacific Coast Feather Ashburn Down ComforterWhile I found this comforter to be quite nice for the price, you will not confuse it for a "luxury" level piece. Cover quality is good, but the down seems to "clump" a little more than I would expect.

I sleep in a 68 degree room and I am overall pleased with the warmth this comforter provides.

One important thing to note on this comforter, they have intentionally sewn in less down around the edges than in the center of the comforter - supposedly this allows them to put (and keep) more down in the center of the comforter where it is "needed". While this sounds like it makes sense when you are looking at the comforter hanging over a neatly made bed - it suddenly makes much less sense when you are in bed, trying to snuggle under one of the "under" filled edges...

Product Description
This down comforter from Pacific Coast is designed to keep you cozy and warm in all seasons. It's filled with 33 ounces of 525-fill-power down, providing excellent breathability and insulation for a restful night's sleep. The down in Pacific Coast's products is carefully selected, sorted, and cleaned to ensure lasting warmth and fluffiness. This comforter is an excellent option for allergy-prone sleepers, given Pacific Coast's unique cleaning process that removes dust, dirt, and allergens. Called Hyperclean, the down used in this comforter is not only exceptionally clean, it's lighter and better insulating than other types of down. The luxurious down fill is encased in a shell of 230-thread-count barrier weave cotton, designed to be extra soft and virtually leakproof. The Box Step design and Comfort Lock border hold the down in place to prevent slippage and maximize loft, which means there's never a need to shake shifted down back into place. The king size measures 104 by 89 inches. --Susannah Detlef
