I have bought more exspensive brands of down comforters/blankets and I find that they all do that "stiff/rustling" sound in the beginning.This one seems to be less so than the more expensive ones.Usually, with Down comforters/blankets that I use, several washings after use will eventually "cure" most of that issue.The blanket is lightweight, and warm.I tend to use my down blankets all year round (and I live in the desert!) I am so impressed with the price and value of the one I am using; that I have sent a blanket to several different family members for the holidays.After seeing the reports about all the snow & ice storms; this should be a usable gift! :-)
