These are heavy handloom woven cotton bed covers, so the fabric is a little coarse. Two sheets have been sewn together to make it heavy so that the bed cover spreads and falls properly on bed. The block print is on only one side. The other side is plain fabric. Block print designs are brilliant, but very traditional and ethnic. There is hand embroidery around the motifs that come from block prints. The embroidery work seems to have been painstakingly done using simple needle and thread.
