In the image it appears that the two blues are definitely different colors.However, when I put the comforter on my bed I could hardly tell the difference.My mom walked into the room later and even commented that she thought there were supposed to be two different shades of blue.The color difference is hardly noticeable at all, even close up.Imagine a navy blue, and then a navy blue one shade off.That's what you get color-wise.The comforter feels nice and soft, it's a comforter...I am just disappointed with how little the two blues contrast.
UPDATE: I got a bigger bed and my mom thought I'd like the same comforter and found it at a local store.The colors do contrast similar to the way they do in the picture amazon displays.Perhaps the original I received from amazon was a bad one.The one from amazon was for a twin bed, the new one from Bed Bath & Beyond is for a queen.You might want to look for the comforter at Bed Bath & Beyond or Linens and Things so you can see the difference in the store to make sure it's noticeable.
