I am very pleased with this purchase and can recommend the comforter wholeheartedly. I live in Texas, and this lightweight comforter is great for winter, although will probably too heavy for summer.It took almost half a day to fluff up to its full loftiness; it arrives *very* compressed.

Boasting a fill power of 550, the comforter provides a great down value. Fill power indicates how many cubic inches of space an ounce of down will occupy, and anything over 500 is considered in the industry to be high quality. The higher the fill power, the larger and stronger the clusters of down. Large clusters provide superior insulation, breathe better, and last much longer than smaller, fragile down clusters used in lower quality bedding. To help keep the filling evenly distributed and securely in place, the comforter features an inner 14-inch baffled box construction. On the outside, the comforter's 280-thread-count cotton cover is crafted with a handsome damask stripe pattern and is double stitched for strength and finished with self piping.
